Lawn Watering
Odd/even and time-of-day watering restrictions are in effect May 1 through September 30 each year.
The City of Mayer's Watering Ordinance was designed to encourage water conservation. Residents can only water every other day, based on the last digit of your house number. If your house number (not street number) ends in an even number, water on even-numbered calendar days. If your house number ends in an odd number, water on odd-numbered days.

No watering between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The City of Mayer is a "Conservation City"
Exceptions to the watering restrictions include:
- Limited hand-watering of plants using a hose
- Watering of new landscaping, sod, or seed within 30 days of installation.
The City will issue a Watering Permit for those residents who are having new sod installed. Please contact City Hall at 952-657-1502 for permit.
Water is a valuable and limited resource. Smart use and conservation are important.
Irrigation meters may be purchased and installed to meter outdoor water use.
